Best places to find ugly Christmas sweaters 2013 find on pinterest boards or make your own

Really cool ugly Christmas sweaters that are bright and beautiful,
but not too tacky can be found on
Etsy as well as other marketplaces this time of year.

Real good old-fashioned vintage Christmas sweaters from the late 70s,
into the 80s and some early 90s are getting hard to find.
I love it when I find the genuine
article complete with those awful shoulder pads.
Many of the sweaters are cotton and ramie with intarsia knits
and embroidery.  Some have cable and other fancy knitting stitches.
Many of the mid-80s and beyond have
the sequins and embroidery and stitched beading.  Ones found manufactured
today and throughout the last
decade you will find are mass produced, not hand knit and very flimsy, well
cheap.

Found some really good pinterest boards for ugly Christmas sweaters.

If you are on the look out for good quality, vintage ugly sweaters, check Etsy. Vintage sweaters may

have a few flaws because of their age and storage throughout the years, but they are the original ugly Christmas sweaters.

If you want to make your own, that is relatively easy.  Find a sweater in your closet that you wish

to part with and get out the sewing needles, knitting needles or hot glue gun.  Find fabric scraps and cut

out patterns to your heart's content.

You can make any theme you want. Try golfing, sports teams, college teams, corporate identities, your own unique style, crafts, sewing, music, reading, etc.
You will even find ideas for the party if you are hosting one.
